UAE’s biggest schooling organisations will welcome more than 1,500 new teachers next month.

New experiences, warmer weather, and a multicultural environment. These are just some of the offerings attracting new teachers to the UAE every year. And this year is no different.

As two of the UAE’s biggest schooling organisations (Taaleem and Gems Education) welcome more than 1,500 new teachers to their network of schools next month, Khaleej Times speaks to some of the newest teaching recruits to find out why they have chosen Dubai as their teaching destination of choice.

With UAE educators focused on equipping children with the skills needed for the 21st century, Dino Varkey, Chief Executive Officer at Gems Education, told Khaleej Times how important is it to employ and train teachers who can educate children in future-focused careers.

“Increasingly, this is a non-negotiable. The world we live in today and the world our children are heading into tomorrow is changing; it’s changing day by day and you need to be able to give that younger generation access to great professionals who can infuse that need for change into the context of the lesson so they are prepared as they can be.”
