Dubai: 07 Nov 2018 –
Most trusted student recruitment platform attracts undergraduate students & school-leavers seeking higher education in UAE & abroad.
Organizers of the Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX), the leading student recruitment platform in the Middle East and Asia, announced that it is set to launch the GETEX Autumn 2018 to be held on November 14 to 16, 2018 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The leading education show in the region continues to connect more than 10,000 learners aspiring for a brighter career through higher education and training.
GETEX has become the most trusted platform for school counsellors in the region and will convene once again this year to network and explore the latest trends in course counselling. Global and regional educational institutions which are committed to keep the learner community informed of their latest offerings on quality education have become a mainstay in GETEX, making it one of the most successful events to maintain over 90 per cent exhibitor retention rate year-on-year.
The event also has the continuing support of the UAE Ministry of Education and Knowledge & Human Development Authority (KHDA), Dubai’s official education regulatory body. Organizers noted that the UAE’s student population is steadily growing and is one of the fastest in the region, as more students seek for higher education within the country as well as abroad.
Undergraduate students and school-leavers comprise more than half (51 per cent) of visitors at GETEX Autumn 2017, followed by parents and working adults. Among students seeking for undergraduate programmes, 48 per cent are looking into international institutions with campuses in the UAE while 52 per cent were eyeing to study abroad. A total of 3,520 working adults also expressed their interest for post-graduate opportunities. The event welcomed a total of 19 schools, including seven government-run schools which toured the event with their students.
GETEX Autumn 2018 will showcase a wide range of education providers and institutions in the areas of general education, residential schools, undergraduate and postgraduate, occupational and industry, professional development and continuing education, and training. The event will also feature its highly popular ‘Counsellors Forum’, which explore on the developments in student placements into higher education institutions. Interactive Q&A sessions will also take place between invited students, counsellors and faculty to discuss study options and trends for aspiring learners.
