Seven powerful student speakers kept their audience riveted at Al Salam Private School’s first-ever TEDx event, TEDxYouth@ASPS. Held at VOX Cinema in the Mall of the Emirates, Nada Wafa, Faisal Al Zaraee, Jida Emad, Jawairia Tariq, Maya El Hawary, Youssef Elderiny and Kashish Khalid mesmerised the audience with their passionate views, as did the vivacious host, Bola Ajike. Organised and directed by Farha Sherief and Siba Mahmood of Year 12 under the guidance of Mrs. Sheila Godin and Mrs. Viji Koshy, this youth event themed ‘Minds Wide Open’ was a glittering success and widely appreciated by all. The team is grateful to VOX Cinemas, their primary sponsors, EM Colour and the University of Wollongong Dubai for their unstinting support for this student endeavour.
